Question – 1: What is so significant about A.D. 70?

Question – 2: Why does it matter what a person believes about end times or prophecy?

Question – 3: If Jesus came in A.D. 70, should we continue to partake of the Lord’s Supper or practice this as an ordinance? Paul said that “As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do remember the Lord’s death until he comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26). So, does this mean we should stop beyond A.D. 70?

Question – 4: If the Lord came in A.D. 70, why is there no record of this in the early church writings? Surely, if the Lord came in the first century they would have said something about it, right? How do you explain the apparent silence?

Question – 5: The Bible teaches that in the age to come there will be no marrying or giving in marriage. How can preterists say the age to come has arrived when people still get married?

Question – 6: The Bible says that in the New Heavens and Earth there will be no more death or pain or tears. If preterism is true, and if we are currently living in what the Bible calls “The New Heavens and Earth,” why do we still see people dying, people crying, and pain and suffering in the world?

Question – 7: If Jesus came in A.D. 70, what happens to a believer now when they die physically? Some people claim that if the Lord did come in A.D. 70, then we don’t have any reason for living the Christian life, and that this life is all that there is since nothing else in the Bible applies to us. Is this true, and if not how do you respond to this?

Question – 8: Who was the man of sin and the antichrist? Were they the same person or entity? And who was “the Beast” in Revelation, identified by the number 666, and who was to receive this mark?

Question – 9: Do the miraculous signs or Apostolic gifts still happen today, and have they taken place since A.D. 70 (such as Tongues, Prophecy, and Divine Revelation – Inspired Knowledge)? If they do, why don’t we ever seem to see them happening? And if not, what does that mean for those who do believe they are practicing, performing, or seeing these things?

Question – 10: Was the book of Revelation written in the 90′s during the first century as many evangelical preachers and teachers claim today, or was it written prior to A.D. 70 as many other scholars claim today? Either way, why does this matter or make much difference?

Question – 11: If Jesus came in A.D. 70, how do you explain the millennium period? Wasn’t there supposed to be a period of one thousand years or longer before the coming of the Lord?

Question – 12: If Jesus came in A.D. 70, when was the tribulation period, and was it seven years?

Question – 13: Didn’t Acts 1:11 say that Jesus would return in “like manner” as he left? If Jesus left physically, doesn’t that mean he’ll return “physically” to the earth? Since this hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t that mean Jesus’ return is still in the future, and not fulfilled in the past?

Question – 14: Does the Bible teach that the resurrection of the dead will happen at Jesus’ coming? Since there are still dead people in the ground, doesn’t that mean it’s still in the future, and has not already happened?

Question – 15: Doesn’t the Bible teach that the sun, moon, and stars will fall or not give their light, and that great and terrible events will happen before the “day of the Lord”? Since that hasn’t happened yet, wouldn’t that mean that Jesus will still return in our future?

Question – 16: If you believe that Jesus returned in A.D. 70 and in the first century aren’t you “spiritualizing” certain passages in the Bible, and not interpreting the Bible “literally”?
